To make the Outline thicker, in the Shape Outline Menu select Weight > 4 1/2 pt.
Have a look at the Multicolored Gradient Background.
Click in a clear area on the side of the Flyer.
Move the mouse slightly over.
You will see a Small Line appear.
Continue moving in a Clockwise Direction of a Spiral, clicking and turning as you go. You will notice that the Spiral starts to take shape before your eyes.
Double Click to release the Spiral Shape.
You can Edit the Points of this Shape if you need to.
Set the Height and Weight of this shape to 0.5" each.
Go to the Home Tab of the Ribbon. In the Arrange Group select Rotate.
Select Free Rotate from the Drop Down Menu.
4 Green Circular Handles will appear around the New Shape.
Move your Cursor over any of these Handles and while holding down your Left Mouse button, drag to the Right or Left, stopping when the end of the Spiral is facing upward.
From the Shape Effects drop down menu select Glow > More Glow Colors > Dark Green.
The Spiral now has a Dark Green Glow.
Then set the Shape's Outline to White.
Next create some Duplicates of the Shape and start lining them up to form a Christmas Tree.
Remember, to make the Tree look better, don't have all the Spirals face the same direction. Change it up a bit.
Free Rotate some of them. You can even Flip them.
On the same Rotate Menu, select Flip Vertical or Flip Horizontal.
Set its Height and Width to 0.15". Pick a random Color for its Fill and set the Outline Color to White.
Let's play with the Glow Options for this shape by selecting Shape Effects > Glow > Glow Variations > Glow Options.
In the Format Shape Window, set the Glow Color to White, Size to 5pt and Transparency to 20%.
Apply Duplicates of this Oval on the Christmas Tree, changing only the Fill Colors for variety.
Now you've created your very own custom Christmas Tree.
Let's add the Star on top.
Drag and draw the Star on the Canvas.
Set its Height to 0.65" and its Width to 0.7". Create 1 Duplicate of this Star and set its Dimensions to Height 1.05" and its Width to 1.15".
The Smaller Star will now be in front of the Larger Duplicate. Use your Arrow Keys to Center the Smaller Star above the other.
Select both Stars and change their Fill Color to Yellow with a White Outline.
Select the Larger Star and give it a 10pt, 5% Transparency, White Glow.
Move both Stars above the Christmas Tree.
Select both Stars and in the Arrange Group click on the Group Icon.
This will make the Stars easier to move together. Rotate the Star slightly.
Select the Star and click on the select the Backward Icon of the Arrange Group.
The Star has been moved.
