Click in a clear area in the center of the Flyer to begin the Curve. Move your cursor either to the left or right. You will see a Small Blue Line.
Continue moving in the direction that you will be curving your Spiral, clicking and turning as you go. You will notice that the Line starts to Curve.
Once you've created what you believe is a good enough Spiral, Double Click to release the Shape.
It is by no means the perfect Spiral that you create in programs like Inkscape, Illustrator and Corel Draw. However, if you'd like to tweak your Spiral, you can use Edit Shape > Edit Points.
Once we are sure of the Shape that we are going to move forward with in this design, we can set both its Height and Width to 0.5 Inches each.
From the Shape Efects drop down menu select Glow > More Glow Colors > More Colors.
This opens the Colors Window.
Select one of the Darker Green Colors, making sure that Transparency is set to 0%, and click OK. Here's the Spiral now with its Green Glow applied. Well the Green and the Blue don't go together so let's change that. With this color combination the Spiral doesn't look so great. So set the Shape's Outline to White.
Now with the White Outline applied, the Spiral appears more distinctive.
Next create some Duplicates of the Sprial and start lining them up so that they form a Christmas Tree. Remember, to make the Tree look better, don't have all the Spirals face the same direction. Change it up a bit and have fun.
Free Rotate some of them. You can even Flip them. On the Rotate Menu, select Flip Vertical or Flip Horizontal.
Let's play with the Glow Options for this Shape by selecting Shape Effects > Glow > Glow Options.
This opens the Format Shape Pane on the right side of the screen. Set the Glow Color to White, Size to 5 pt and Transparency to 20%.
The tiny Oval is now highlighted with a White Glow.
Apply Duplicates of this Oval on the Christmas Tree, changing only the Fill Color for variety.
Now you've created your very own Custom Christmas Tree. Let's add the Star on top.
Drag and draw the Star on the Flyer. Set its Height to 0.65 Inches and its Width to 0.7 Inches.
Set its Fill Color to Orange and its Outline to White.
Create 1 Duplicate of this Star and set its Dimensions to Height 1.05 Inches and its Width to 1.15 Inches.
This will send the Duplicate Star back one level. Drag the Duplicate behind the Original Star.
Select the Larger Star and give it a 10 pt, 5% Transparency, White Glow.
Make sure that your Stars have been moved above the Christmas Tree.
Shift Click (hold down the Shift Key while you Click) and select both Stars.
Next go back to the Arrange Group and select the Group Icon.
From the drop down menu that appears select Group to join these 2 Objects together, making them easier to move. Rotate the Star slightly.
In the Arrange Group click the down arow on the Right Side of the Send Backward Icon. From the drop down menu, select Send to Back.
This will send the Object behind all the other Objects on the page.
Next click the Bring Forward Icon slowly until the Star is brought above the Green Gradient Filled Triangle but below the Christmas Tree.
Now that the Christmas Tree is complete we can add some Christmas Presents.
