How To Insert Picture from File in Microsoft Word 2003
To insert an Image from file go to Insert > Picture > From File.
This will open up the Insert Picture Window.
Choose your Image, click on the Insert button and the Image will be placed on the page.
How To Flip an Image in Microsoft Word 2003
Assuming you already have an Image on your page, move the cursor over it and click to select it. A Black Border with 8 Squares will appear around the selected Image.
Go to the Drawing Toolbar on the bottom of the page and select Draw > Rotate or Flip > Flip Horizontal.
The Image will be Flipped.
How To Insert a Text Box in Microsoft Word 2003
To insert a Text Box go to the Menu Bar and select Insert > Text Box.
The Drawing Canvas will appear on your page with the words "Create your drawing here" on the inside.
Click anywhere within this canvas to place your Text Box, so that you will have something looking like this, a Text Box within a box.
The Text Box has 8 Circles around it.
Start typing your Text.
How To Get an Invisible Text Box Border in Microsoft Word 2003
Go to the Drawing Toolbar at the bottom of the screen, and select the Black Arrow immediately to the right side of the Line Color Icon.
Since we are working with a White Background, we will select the color White for the Border from the Color Options Menu.
Notice that the Black Border has disappeared.
If you click outside of the Text Box, you will have Text that appears to float on the page.
If you select your Text Box and hold the mouse button down while over its Border, you will be able to drag this Text anywhere on the page.
How To Create Blank Documents in Microsoft Word
When you open Microsoft Word 2010, a Blank Document is immediately created for you.
By Default, this Blank Document is set to Paper Size - Letter which is 8.5 Inches by 11 Inches.
It's Orientation will be Portrait.
The Page Margins will be Normal, which sets Top, Bottom, Left and Right Margins to 1 Inch each.
If you wish to create a New Blank Document, simply press your Ctrl and N Keys together.
You can also select the File Menu > New. Here you will see a detailed list of available Templates. Blank Document will already be hightlighted for you.
Simply click the Create Button to the bottom right of the window or double click over the Blank Document Icon.
The Blank Document will be created.
How To Open Existing Microsoft Word Templates
Just what are your options if you do not wish to create the typical Letter Sized Document in Microsoft Word?
Select the File Menu > New. Here you will see a detailed list of available Templates.
If you click Brochures, a few Brochure Templates from Office.com Templates will appear.
Double Click over your chosen Template to create it. Here I've selected the first Template which is Product Catalog and Order Form (8 pages).
Once the Template opens up, you can begin editting to suit your needs.
